Asian Games: India wins first women’s recurve team gold; mixed team takes silver

Ankita Bhakat, Kirti Sharma and Kumkum Mohod broke the South Koreans’ streak of seven straight women’s team titles.
India secured its first-ever Asian Games gold medal in women’s recurve team archery through Ankita Bhakat, Kumkum Anil Mohod and Kirti.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the trio, praising their composure and precision in a closely contested final. He said the achievement would encourage young archers across the country. PIB’s women’s team announcement
India also claimed silver in the recurve mixed team event through Dhiraj Bommadevara and Kumkum Anil Mohod. The Prime Minister’s Office described it as the country’s first silver in that event at the Asian Games.
