1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of India News Grid, including the website, submission portal, editorial workflows, newsletters, communications, and any related products or services offered from time to time. By accessing, browsing, registering on, submitting content to, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable policies published on the platform.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use India News Grid. If you use the platform on behalf of a company, institution, startup, partnership, association, or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Authority

You may use the platform only if you are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable law in India. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have all corporate, institutional, or contractual approvals required to submit content, grant permissions, make statements, and accept publication terms on that organisation's behalf.

3. Nature of the Platform

India News Grid is a digital publishing platform for press releases, founder stories, articles, announcements, and similar informational content. India News Grid is not a law firm, public authority, stock exchange, regulator, investment adviser, merchant banker, auditor, due diligence agency, or investigative verification service.

India News Grid may perform editorial review, formatting, classification, headline editing, moderation, or fact-sensitivity checks, but such review does not amount to certification, endorsement, legal clearance, or independent verification of any submission.

4. Account Information and Platform Access

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account, making a submission, or communicating with India News Grid. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for all activity carried out through your account or authorised email address.

India News Grid may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where information appears inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, unauthorised, unlawful, or likely to expose the platform to legal or reputational risk.

5. Submission Rules and User Warranties

By submitting any press release, article, image, video, logo, trademark, statement, testimonial, profile, contact detail, or other material, you represent and warrant that: you own the material or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, permissions, approvals, and consents; the material is true, lawful, and not misleading to the best of your knowledge; and the material does not infringe any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, data protection, contractual, or statutory right.

You further warrant that your submission does not contain defamatory matter, obscene material, unlawful comparative advertising, undisclosed paid promotion where disclosure is legally required, prohibited medical or health claims, unlicensed financial solicitation, gambling promotion in violation of law, election-related material in breach of applicable restrictions, or any statement prohibited under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or other applicable Indian law.

6. Editorial Rights and Publication Discretion

India News Grid has absolute editorial discretion to accept, reject, edit, shorten, reformat, categorise, schedule, reschedule, add disclaimers to, request substantiation for, or remove any submission, with or without assigning reasons. Publication timelines are indicative only and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.

India News Grid may correct style, grammar, headings, formatting, metadata, image placement, internal linking, or categorisation without prior notice. Where India News Grid identifies legal, factual, policy, or reputational concerns, it may hold publication pending clarification or may refuse publication entirely.

7. No Guarantee of Results

India News Grid does not guarantee publication, homepage placement, search engine ranking, syndication, readership numbers, investor interest, media pickup, lead generation, fundraising outcomes, reputation enhancement, or any business, legal, or public relations result. Any examples, case studies, analytics, or visibility indicators are informational only and do not constitute a promise of future performance.

8. User Conduct and Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the platform to impersonate any person or entity, submit false credentials, scrape data without authorisation, transmit malware, overload the platform, interfere with security features, upload unlawful or harmful code, send spam, harvest personal information, or use automated systems in a manner that disrupts the platform.

You must not submit content that is illegal, deceptive, threatening, hateful, invasive of privacy, sexually explicit, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable, or content that encourages unlawful acts, misinformation, market manipulation, counterfeit activity, or harm to children.

9. Intellectual Property

All platform elements, including the India News Grid name, branding, layout, editorial presentation, website design, source code, graphics, and proprietary content, are owned by or licensed to India News Grid and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, no part of the platform may be copied, reproduced, republished, reverse engineered, distributed, or commercially exploited without prior written consent.

By submitting content, you grant India News Grid a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting and editorial presentation, publish, communicate to the public, distribute, archive, and promote the submitted material in connection with operating, marketing, improving, and defending the platform.

10. Third-Party Content, Links, and Services

The platform may contain third-party links, embeds, logos, references, tools, advertisements, or integrations. India News Grid does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, statements, privacy practices, availability, or business conduct. Access to third-party resources is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

11. Fees, Payments, Taxes, and Refund Position

If India News Grid offers paid services, featured placement, editorial assistance, promotional packages, advertising, or premium submissions, all applicable fees, taxes, and billing terms communicated at the time of purchase shall apply. You are responsible for the accuracy of billing information and for all taxes, duties, levies, and governmental charges applicable to your order, except taxes on India News Grid's income.

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, fees for editorial review, processing, publishing preparation, or completed promotional work are non-refundable once work has commenced, a submission has entered review, or content has been scheduled or published. India News Grid may decline, suspend, or remove paid content where legal or policy concerns arise, and any refund in such cases shall remain at India News Grid's sole discretion except where non-waivable law requires otherwise.

12. Privacy and Personal Data

Use of the platform may involve collection and processing of personal data for account management, publication workflows, communication, moderation, security, analytics, and legal compliance. India News Grid expects users to submit personal data only where they have a lawful basis, appropriate notice, and all necessary consents or authorisations.

You must not submit sensitive or personal information of any third party unless strictly necessary and lawfully permitted. India News Grid may process personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, applicable rules and notifications issued thereunder, and any platform privacy notice published from time to time.

13. Complaints, Takedown Requests, and Legal Compliance

India News Grid may investigate complaints, legal notices, infringement claims, privacy complaints, court orders, regulatory directions, or government requests relating to any content or use of the platform. You agree to provide prompt cooperation, documents, authorisations, and clarifications reasonably requested by India News Grid in connection with such matters.

India News Grid may remove or disable access to any content, disclose relevant information to authorities, preserve records, or take any other step it considers necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce these Terms, or protect its rights, users, personnel, or the public.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform and all related services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, India News Grid disclaims all express or implied warranties, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uptime, uninterrupted availability, compatibility, security, or results from use of the platform.

India News Grid does not warrant that the platform will be error-free, secure, continuously available, free of viruses or harmful components, or that defects will be corrected within any particular timeframe.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, India News Grid, its founders, directors, employees, editors, contractors, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill, data, opportunity, reputation, anticipated savings, or media value arising out of or in connection with the platform, any submission, any publication decision, any delay, any outage, any third-party act, or reliance on any content.

Without prejudice to the above, India News Grid shall not be responsible for the truth, legality, completeness, or reliability of user-submitted material, nor for any claims made by submitters, quoted persons, advertisers, sponsors, institutions, or third parties. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, the aggregate liability of India News Grid shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you to India News Grid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is lower.

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless India News Grid, its founders, directors, employees, editors, contractors, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against all claims, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, penalties, fines, damages, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to: your content; your breach of these Terms; your violation of law; your infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights; your misleading or unauthorised statements; or your use of the platform.

17. Suspension, Removal, and Termination

India News Grid may suspend or terminate access, remove content, cancel pending publication, or restrict platform features immediately and without prior notice if it believes there is a breach of these Terms, a legal risk, a security issue, abuse of the platform, a payment issue, a rights complaint, or any circumstance that may adversely affect India News Grid or third parties.

Termination or suspension does not waive any accrued rights, payment obligations, indemnity obligations, or other provisions intended to survive termination.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection law or other non-waivable legal requirement, courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the platform.

19. Changes to the Terms

India News Grid may amend these Terms at any time by updating this page. Revised Terms become effective upon publication unless a later date is expressly stated. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
