Privacy Policy
How India News Grid collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, and how to exercise your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This Privacy Policy explains how India News Grid collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit www.indianewsgrid.com, register an account, submit content, take part in a programme, buy a service or contact us.
India News Grid is owned and operated by BEE Enterprises, a sole proprietorship based in East of Kailash, New Delhi 110065 (“India News Grid”, “we”, “us” or “our”). BEE Enterprises decides why and how your personal data is processed, and is the data fiduciary for the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
This policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to:
- readers and visitors of the website;
- contributors who register and submit news, articles, sponsored content, press releases, founder and brand stories or upcoming events;
- organisations and their authorised representatives;
- Young Journalist Program participants and their parents or guardians;
- partners and clients on the Event Media Partner, Digital Media Partner and Agency Plan;
- Publishing Partners and the clients they introduce;
- newsletter subscribers and anyone who contacts us by email or WhatsApp.
2. Personal data we collect
2.1 Information you give us

2.2 Information collected automatically When you use the website, we and our service providers collect technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages visited, referring pages, time spent, clicks, and cookie and session identifiers. See section 7.
2.3 Information from others We may receive personal data about you from an agency or Publishing Partner who introduces you or submits content for you, from a parent or guardian, or from people who send us complaints about content.
3. Personal data that becomes public
Some information you submit is published publicly by design. Please submit it only if you are comfortable with it being public:
- your byline, author bio and profile;
- the content you submit, including names, quotes and images of people in it;
- media contacts in press releases;
- organiser contacts and registration details on upcoming event pages;
- founder names, roles and photos in founder and brand stories.
Published pages may be indexed, cached, copied or summarised by search engines, AI tools and other websites. Removing a page from India News Grid does not remove copies held by others.

We collect only the personal data we need for these purposes.
5. Children’s personal data
5.1 Registering on your own requires you to be 18 or older. Children aged 13 to 17 can take part only through the Young Journalist Program, and only after a parent or guardian has completed the consent and indemnity form and we have verified it. We do not knowingly accept personal data from children under 13.
5.2 We process a child’s personal data only with the verifiable consent of their parent or lawful guardian, and only to run the programme.
5.3 We do not track or monitor the behaviour of participants under 18, and do not target advertising at them.
5.4 A parent or guardian may ask us to shorten a participant’s byline to initials, correct their data, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing consent ends participation. Content already published may stay online as described in section 3, unless removal is agreed.
6. Who we share personal data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed with:

Service providers may process data only on our instructions and must keep it secure.
7. Cookies and analytics
7.1 The website uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies keep you logged in, keep the website secure and remember your settings. The website cannot work properly without them.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are read most. We use them only with your consent, and you can turn them off.
7.2 You can manage cookies through the cookie banner and your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website, such as your dashboard, from working.
7.3 We do not use cookies to track or target advertising at participants under 18.
8. Emails, newsletters and WhatsApp
8.1 Service messages about your account, submissions, payments, invoices and published links are part of the service and will be sent while you have an account.
8.2 Newsletters are sent only if you subscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
8.3 If you contact us on WhatsApp, we use your number and messages only to reply to you. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy also applies to messages sent through it.
9. How long we keep personal data

When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous, unless the law requires us to keep it.
10. How we protect personal data
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, limited access for our team on a need-to-know basis, and security services that protect the website. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our safeguards regularly.
If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the DPDP Act requires.
11. Storage and transfers outside India
Personal data is stored and processed in India and may also be processed outside India by our service providers. Any transfer outside India is made only to countries not restricted by the Government of India under the DPDP Act, and with appropriate safeguards.
12. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and who we have shared it with;
- Correction and updating: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or update it;
- Erasure: ask us to delete personal data we no longer need, subject to what the law requires us to keep and to section 3;
- Withdraw consent: withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done, and may mean we can no longer provide some services;
- Grievance redressal: complain to our Grievance Officer (section 13);
- Nominate: name another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from your registered email ID. We may ask you to verify your identity, or your authority if you act for someone else. We aim to respond within 30 days.

We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Content on India News Grid may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will also tell registered users by email.
