The release must be a non-commercial announcement and follow the press release guidelines. Further releases are charged at the standard price.
Submitting
How do I publish a press release online in India?
Write your release in the standard format (headline, dateline, lead paragraph, body, About section and media contact), then publish it on a news platform. On India News Grid, you register as an organisation or an individual, verify your email, complete the indemnity form, pay ₹499 + GST and submit your release from your dashboard.
Who can publish a press release on India News Grid?
Companies, startups, MSMEs, institutions, schools and colleges, NGOs, event organisers and other organisations, as well as individuals such as sole proprietors, professionals, authors, artists and creators in India.
Can I submit with a Gmail or personal email address?
Yes, if you register as an individual, including as a sole proprietor. Your email is verified, and you complete the individual indemnity form. Organisations register with a verified official email ID and complete the organisation indemnity form.
I run a sole proprietorship. Should I register as an organisation or an individual?
Either works. If your business has an official email ID, you can register as an organisation. If not, register as an individual with your own email ID and complete the individual indemnity form. Your release can still carry your business name.
Can a PR agency submit a press release for a client?
Yes. Agencies that publish regularly for clients should see the Agency Plan.
Can you write my press release for me?
Yes, for an additional fee. Press release writing is a separate service from publishing. You provide the information: what you are announcing, key facts and figures, dates, quotes from named spokespeople, your About (boilerplate) text, images and media contact. Email [email protected] for details.
Do I need to write the press release myself?
No. You can write it yourself using the guidelines on this page, or ask us to write it for an additional fee. Either way, you approve the final text and remain responsible for its content.
What is the word limit for a press release?
Up to 1,500 words, with up to 3 images and up to 3 links (backlinks).
What should a press release include?
A clear headline, a dateline with city and date, a lead paragraph answering who, what, when, where and why, the main details and quotes, a short "About" (boilerplate) paragraph, and a media contact.
Publishing
How long does it take to publish?
Usually within 1–2 working days of submission, and within a week at most.
Do you edit my press release?
No. India News Grid does not fact-check or edit your writing. During the publishing check we check formatting, working links and SEO tags and run a basic compliance check. We may adjust only the headline or the cover image.
What happens if my release needs changes?
We return it to you with the changes required. Send the revised version within 3 working days, or the submission and fee are forfeited.
Can I edit my press release after it is published?
No. Published press releases cannot be edited, so please check your release carefully before submitting.
How long will my press release stay online?
Your release has a permanent URL. It stays online unless it is removed after a complaint or a breach of the guidelines.
Visibility
Will my press release appear on Google?
Every release is optimised for SEO and published with structured data, and may be indexed by Google and other search engines. India News Grid does not guarantee search ranking or placement.
Can my press release appear in ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews?
It can. Each release is published as a clear, structured news page that AI tools can read and cite, and India News Grid's release on the VIPS-TC Annual Fest has been cited as a source in a Google AI Overview. India News Grid does not guarantee AI citations.
Will my press release be shared on social media?
Yes. India News Grid shares published releases on its social media and includes them in its newsletter.
Why should I publish a press release when my brand is new?
A new brand often has little online when people search for it. A press release on a news website gives customers, investors and AI tools an independent, dated page that describes your launch in your own words.
Is India News Grid a press release distribution or syndication service?
No. India News Grid publishes your release once, as an original news page on indianewsgrid.com. Syndication services send the same release to many websites at once. Choose syndication when you need wide, same-day reach to many outlets; choose a single original page when you want a credible, searchable record of your announcement.
Can I publish the same press release on other websites or through a wire service?
Not the same text. Your release on India News Grid must be unique online. You can publish a rewritten (paraphrased) version on other websites or through a wire service, and share the link to your India News Grid page anywhere, including your own website and social media.
Why does my press release need to be unique?
Search engines and AI tools usually treat identical text on many websites as duplicates and show only one copy. A unique page is crawled and indexed as an original source, which gives it the best chance of appearing in search results and being cited by AI tools.
Will other news websites pick up my press release?
India News Grid publishes your release on indianewsgrid.com only. It does not distribute it to other publications or guarantee pickup by them.
Is one original page better for SEO than syndication to many sites?
For search and AI visibility, often yes. When the same release appears on many sites, search engines typically treat the copies as duplicates and show only one or a few. An original, well-structured page is easier for search engines and AI tools to identify as the source.

What is the India News Grid Young Journalist Program?
It is a free online program that lets students and recent graduates in India publish news reports, research articles and event listings on India News Grid under their own byline. Before publication, each submission goes through a publishing check for formatting, working links and SEO tags, and participants build a public portfolio of published work.
Who can join the Young Journalist Program?
School students, college and university students, journalism and mass-communication students, English, media and content-writing students, aspiring journalists, and anyone who graduated in the last two years can join. No experience or portfolio is needed. Participants must be at least 13, and those under 18 need a signed parent or guardian consent and indemnity form.
Can school students under 18 write for India News Grid?
Yes. Students aged 13 to 17 can join by uploading the signed Indemnity & Consent Form when they apply. Access is granted to their registered email only after the team has verified it. Under-18s work from published sources only and do not cover topics such as crime, elections or protests.
How do I register for the Young Journalist Program?
Click Apply Now, create your account and read the editorial guidelines. If you are under 18, upload the Indemnity & Consent Form, signed with your parent or guardian, during registration. Once the team has verified it, you can submit stories from your dashboard.
Is the Young Journalist Program free? Do I get paid?
The program is free to join and there are no fees for submitting. It does not pay a stipend, salary or fee for published work. What you gain is published bylines, a public portfolio and, if you meet the requirements, a digital certificate.
Who is responsible for the accuracy of my article?
You are. The publishing check covers formatting, working links and SEO tags only; it does not verify facts or edit your writing. Every participant, or a parent or guardian for under-18s, accepts responsibility for their content when registering. India News Grid removes content if a complaint is upheld or the guidelines are broken.
Schools and colleges

English only for now, during the pilot. You can quote Hindi or other languages if you translate faithfully and say the quote was translated.
Where can I publish my first news article as a student in India?
You can publish your first news article on India News Grid through the free Young Journalist Program, which is open to school students, college students and recent graduates. Every story is published under your own byline, so you get a real, public news credit to show.
How do I get my first byline as a student journalist?
A byline is your name on a published story. To earn your first one, pick a recent development that matters to young readers, check it against official sources, and write it as a short news report. On India News Grid, every Young Journalist story that passes the publishing check is published with your byline.
How can I build a journalism portfolio while I'm still studying?
Publish regularly on an established news platform rather than only a personal blog, so your work sits alongside other news and is easy to find. The Young Journalist Program gives you a public profile listing all your published stories, which you can link to in college, internship or job applications.
Can I become a journalist without a journalism degree?
Yes. Many journalists studied other subjects; what counts is accurate reporting, clear writing and published work. You can start building that track record while studying, for example by publishing news reports and explainers through India News Grid's Young Journalist Program.
How can school students start writing news?
Start with topics you understand, such as exams, scholarships or school policy, and use official sources like government releases. Students aged 13 to 17 can publish on India News Grid once a signed parent or guardian consent and indemnity form is uploaded at registration and verified, and they work from published sources only.
How do I write my first news report?
Open with what happened, who it affects and when. Add the key facts and figures with their sources, then context and what remains unclear. Keep it between 400 and 800 words and link at least two independent sources. India News Grid's editorial guidelines walk you through each step with examples.
Does a published article help with college applications?
Published work can show your interest in a subject, your writing and your research skills, and you can link to it in applications and interviews. India News Grid does not guarantee admission, credit or any outcome, but your published stories stay online under your name.
Is there a free way to get published as a student writer?
Yes. India News Grid's Young Journalist Program is free to join and free to submit to, with no publication fee. You need to follow the editorial guidelines and submit at least five pieces a month to stay active.
Content rights
Who owns my work?
You own what you write; India News Grid publishes it. When you submit an article, you remain its author and keep the copyright. By submitting, you give India News Grid (operated by BEE Enterprises) a free, worldwide, ongoing licence to format, publish, display, archive and promote your work on its website, newsletters and social media channels, always with your byline. India News Grid owns the website design, layout, logo, cover-image placement, SEO tags and page structure around your story. For participants under 18, your parent or guardian grants this licence on your behalf through the consent and indemnity form.
What can India News Grid do with my published story?
India News Grid can publish, format, display, archive and promote your story on its website, newsletters and social media, always with your byline. It may adjust the headline or cover image during the publishing check, but it does not edit the body of your article.
Can I republish my article on my blog, LinkedIn or Medium?
No. Your written work must stay exclusive to India News Grid online, so it cannot appear on another website, blog, LinkedIn Articles or Medium. You can share the link to your published story anywhere, quote short extracts with a link back, and publish it in print offline.
Will India News Grid pay me or sell my article?
The program does not pay for published work, and India News Grid does not sell your article to other publishers.
What happens to my articles if I leave the program?
Your published stories stay online under your byline as part of the public record. You can ask for a correction or, for a valid reason such as personal safety, ask for removal by emailing [email protected]. Under-18 participants' bylines can be shortened to initials on a guardian's request.
Who owns the photos in my article?
The photographer does. You may use royalty-free, licence-free images only under that platform's licence, and you must credit both the photographer and the platform. Never upload images you do not have the right to use.
Who is responsible if my article infringes someone else's rights?
You are, or your parent or guardian if you are under 18. Under the indemnity accepted at registration, India News Grid removes content that infringes copyright or other rights once a complaint is upheld.

Digital Media Partner: frequently asked questions
About the Digital Media Partner page.
What is a digital media partnership?
An ongoing arrangement in which India News Grid publishes and promotes your announcements regularly, and you can name India News Grid as your official Digital Media Partner. It comes in three forms: a 6- or 12-month organisation plan, a partnership for a single event, or an Agency Plan for PR and media agencies.
Why should my brand have a digital media partner?
It gives your announcements a permanent home on a news platform. You own your narrative, build a searchable public record, earn credibility with customers, investors and partners, and stay visible all year, not just at launch.
What plans are available?
The Annual Digital Media Partner plan includes 3 press releases, 3 news stories or articles and 3 event listings every month for 12 months. The Six-month plan includes 1 of each every month for 6 months. Both are paid once, upfront. You can also publish single stories without a plan.
Is the plan paid monthly?
No. You pay once, upfront, at onboarding.
What happens to unused allowance?
It carries forward month to month and lapses when your 6- or 12-month plan ends.
How much does a Digital Media Partner plan cost?
Pricing is shared on request. Click Request the rate card or message us on WhatsApp. Inaugural pricing is available for a limited time. Prices are exclusive of GST.
Can I publish just one press release or article?
Yes. You can publish a press release, news, an article, a founder story or an event listing on its own.
How do I get a media partner for my event?
Request an event media partnership. India News Grid lists your event with its registration link, publishes announcement and post-event press releases, shares them on our social media and newsletter, and can be named as your event's Media Partner. It works for conferences, summits, expos, launches, festivals, award ceremonies, sports events, hackathons, college fests and webinars.
Can India News Grid be the media partner for a college fest?
Yes. Colleges and universities can make India News Grid the media partner for cultural, technical, management and sports fests, conferences and conclaves.
I run a PR or media agency. Which plan suits me?
The Agency Plan. It gives you monthly publishing credits you can use across all your client brands, with extra credits when you need them.
What's the difference between the Agency Plan and the Publishing Partner Program?
Agencies on the Agency Plan buy monthly credits and publish for their clients directly. Publishing Partners are freelancers who introduce clients and earn 50% commission when those clients pay India News Grid.
Does India News Grid's traffic or Domain Authority matter for my visibility?
Less than you might think. Domain Authority is a third-party SEO score, not something Google uses to rank pages, and site-wide traffic does not guarantee your story is seen. What helps your story get found is how the page is built: structured data, fast indexing, image sitemaps, a clear link to your organisation and AI-readable content. Every India News Grid page has these. Inclusion, ranking and citations are still decided by Google and AI tools and are not guaranteed.
Who publishes with India News Grid?
Companies, startups, social enterprises and educational institutions across India, including VIPS-TC, Delhi School of Business, HERTH, Gojan School of Business and Technology, Bangalore Technological Institute, New Prince Shri Bhavani College of Engineering and Technology, Skygaze India, Aardo Solutions, Silk and Sins and Ayrx Solutions. They have published partnerships, international conferences, national conclaves, workshops, annual fests and more.
What can I publish?
Press releases, news, founder stories, sponsored or partner content, neutral articles, and upcoming event listings with date, venue and registration link.
What's the difference between a sponsored article and a neutral article?
A sponsored (partner content) article is brand-led or promotional and is labelled as such. A neutral article is informative and contains no promotional content.
How do I get started?
Register on India News Grid as an Organisation or Individual, verify your official email ID, upload the signed indemnity form, and request the rate card. You pay the invoice before submitting content.
How do I pay?
By payment gateway, bank transfer, or a cheque deposited directly into India News Grid's bank account.
How long does publishing take?
The publishing check usually takes 1–2 working days after submission.
Does India News Grid fact-check or edit my content?
India News Grid does not fact-check or edit your writing. We run a publishing check (formatting, working links, SEO tags) and a basic compliance screen, and may update the cover image or headline where needed.
Will my content appear on Google and AI tools?
Every page gets structured data, sitemap updates, image metadata and social-sharing tags at publication. Indexing, ranking, timing and AI citations are decided independently by Google, AI tools and social platforms, and are not guaranteed.
How long does my page stay live?
Each item gets a permanent URL. A page may be removed only after an upheld complaint or a compliance issue. Published pages are not edited after publication.
What content is not accepted?
Political campaigning, medical cure or treatment claims, investment tips from non-SEBI-registered sources, allegations against named individuals, and plagiarised or previously published content.
Is the fee refundable?
Fees are non-refundable once paid. Content needing changes must be resubmitted within 3 working days.
