Who can write for us
Anyone with a registered, verified India News Grid account:
Individuals: professionals, subject experts, consultants, academics, researchers, students, independent writers and creators. Register as an individual.
Organisations: companies, startups, institutions, NGOs and associations publishing under the organisation's name or a named author. Register as an organisation with your official email ID.
Students who join the Young Journalist Program report news under their own byline. Factual, public-interest news goes through Submit News.
Topics we publish
How it works
- Create your account. Register as an individual or an organisation and verify your email ID.
- Complete the indemnity form during registration. It confirms that you take responsibility for what you publish.
- Choose your article type and pay. ₹99 + GST for an article, or ₹299 + GST for sponsored or partner content, through our payment gateway or by bank transfer, or deposit a cheque in our account. Your invoice is shared within 1–2 working days.
- Submit your article from your dashboard with your headline, summary, images and links.
- Publishing check. We check formatting, working links and SEO tags, and run a basic compliance check, including whether the article type matches the content. India News Grid does not fact-check or edit your writing.
- Published. Your article usually goes live within 1–2 working days, and within a week at most. We email you the link.
Article guidelines
Format
- Length: up to 1,500 words.
- Headline: clear and specific, describing what the reader will learn.
- Summary: up to 340 characters.
- Structure: a clear argument or purpose, with subheadings, short paragraphs, and bullet points where they help.
- Images: up to 3 images, including the cover image, that you own or are authorised to use, with credits.
- Links: up to 3 links to relevant, credible pages.
- Author bio: 1 to 2 lines about you or your organisation.
Writing
- Original work: your article must be your own. Plagiarism is not accepted.
- AI use: AI may help with research or editing, but the ideas, analysis and final text must be yours and checked by you.
- Back it up: support claims with data, examples or sources. Avoid generic commentary and unverified claims.
- Professional tone: no profanity, slang abbreviations or biased commentary.
- Disclosure: declare any financial or professional interest in a company, product or service you mention. If there is one, submit as sponsored or partner content.
- Useful to readers: practical frameworks, fresh perspectives and clear takeaways are given priority.
- Is published with a "Sponsored" label.
- May promote your products, services or expertise, but must stay factual. No misleading claims, fake reviews or comparisons that run down competitors.
- Links in sponsored content are marked as sponsored, in line with search engine guidelines.
- investment tips, guaranteed returns or unregulated financial schemes;
- unsupported medical or health-treatment claims;
- gambling, betting, adult content, or illegal products and services;
- party-political allegations or campaign material;
- defamatory, hateful or discriminatory content;
- plagiarised work or content that infringes copyright;
- articles about ongoing legal disputes.
