Union Minister Pralhad Joshi urges students to give 30 minutes to cleanliness activities

Union Minister planted a sapling in the college premises under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi urged students to devote at least 30 minutes to cleanliness activities while leading a drive at Gargi College, University of Delhi, on October 1, 2026.

The programme was organised under the nationwide ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ initiative. Joshi also planted a sapling on campus under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, according to a Ministry of Education release.

Speaking to students, he linked cleanliness with public health and encouraged them to maintain clean surroundings in educational institutions, homes and public spaces. He said individual efforts could encourage collective participation and make cleanliness a sustained habit.

Union Minister also highlighted physical fitness, encouraging students to participate in sports and outdoor activities while balancing time spent on screens.
