Diljit Dosanjh's Delhi concert is going ahead on Friday, 30 October 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. It has not been cancelled. Delhi Police granted permission after the organiser, presented a detailed security, traffic and crowd-management plan.

The Delhi show is the opening concert of Diljit's Aura India Tour. Before you go, note three key rules: there is no parking at the venue, backpacks are not allowed, and power banks may not be permitted.

The BookMyShow listing shows a six-hour event window from 4 PM, while Diljit's own set runs about 2.5 hours.

Is the Diljit Dosanjh Delhi Concert Cancelled?

No. As of 27 October, the concert is going ahead as scheduled.

Delhi Police had initially denied permission, citing security inputs and festive-season law and order commitments. After multiple meetings, organizers presented a detailed plan, and police granted permission on 23 October.

The Indian Express reported that the revised plan includes additional private security, help kiosks, pedestrian routes and traffic controls.

Keep checking BookMyShow messages, as entry gates and final instructions may be shared closer to the day.

Was the Concert Date Changed?

Yes. The Delhi concert was originally scheduled for 1 November and was later moved to 30 October. BookMyShow said tickets bought for the original date remain valid for the new date.

What Kind of Ticket Do You Need?

According to the Delhi event FAQ, physical tickets were to be home-delivered about a week before the show. If you haven't received yours yet, contact BookMyShow support immediately. Lost tickets will not be replaced.

Booking details are also sent by email and WhatsApp and appear under "Your Bookings" on the BookMyShow app or website. Don't treat this booking record as your entry ticket unless BookMyShow tells you otherwise.

International customers may have been offered box-office collection while booking. Their wristbands can be collected from the box office on the day of the event.

Tickets are sold only through BookMyShow. Avoid third-party sellers, as those tickets may be counterfeit.

What Should You Carry?

Travel as light as possible. Here's what to bring:

  • The original ticket by BookMyShow

  • A fully charged mobile phone

  • A wallet or small sling bag

  • Essential medicines, with a doctor's prescription where required

  • An empty, reusable, transparent plastic water bottle of up to 500 ml

  • Hearing protection for children or noise-sensitive attendees

  • Comfortable footwear and a light layer for the evening

Free drinking water will be available at designated points, and food and drinks will be on sale inside the venue.

The FAQ doesn't say that all attendees must carry a government-issued ID. Check your booking confirmation and ticket for any ID requirement for your category.

Are Power Banks Allowed?

Probably not. BookMyShow says laptops, external hard drives and portable charging devices may not be permitted at the venue.

Because entry isn't guaranteed for these devices, the safest option is to charge your phone fully before you leave and keep your power bank at home.

Are Backpacks and Handbags Allowed?

No. Handbags and backpacks are not permitted. Carry only a wallet or a small sling bag.

There is no bag or luggage storage at the venue, so anyone arriving with a prohibited bag may have nowhere to leave it. Signs and boards are also not allowed.

Can You Carry a Camera?

Phone cameras are allowed for personal photos and videos. Professional cameras and video cameras are strictly prohibited, so leave detachable-lens cameras and recording equipment at home.

What Else Is Prohibited?

All belongings will be searched before entry. Prohibited items include:

  • Large backpacks and bags with multiple pockets

  • Laptops, external hard drives and portable charging devices (may not be permitted)

  • Knives, blades, scissors and other sharp objects

  • Weapons, pepper spray, large chains and sharp jewellery

  • Laser pens and pocket lasers

  • Lighters, fireworks, flares, sky lanterns and other flammable items

  • Narcotics, drugs and banned substances

  • Markers, pens and spray paint

  • Outside food and beverages

  • Unsealed cigarette packets

  • Vapes and other smoking devices

  • Signs and boards

  • Professional cameras and video cameras

Smoking is not allowed at the venue. Anyone who refuses a security search or carries a prohibited item may be denied entry or removed without a refund.

Can You Leave and Re-enter?

No. Re-entry is not allowed once your ticket has been scanned, so make sure you have everything before going in.

You also can't move between ticket categories. Friends who want to stay together need tickets in the same category, and groups should agree on a meeting point in case they get separated.

What Are the Rules for Children?

Children under 5 are not allowed. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a ticket holder aged 18 or above.

Parents can collect a "Tag Your Child" wristband from the event help desk in case a child gets separated. Stadium concerts are very loud, so well-fitted hearing protection is a sensible precaution for children, though it isn't an organiser requirement.

Is Parking Available at JLN Stadium?

No. BookMyShow says there will be no parking at the venue and asks attendees to use public transport.

The nearest Metro station is Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on the Violet Line, as shown on the official Delhi Metro network map.

The Indian Express reported that authorities were considering a no-car zone of up to about 700 metres around the venue as part of security planning. This isn't the final traffic advisory, so check the Delhi Traffic Police advisory page before travelling.

Accessibility and Medical Support

The stadium is wheelchair accessible, but wheelchairs won't be provided at the venue. A person with special needs may be accompanied by one companion, who also needs a valid ticket. Accessibility questions can be sent to [email protected].

First-aid services will be available in dedicated medical zones. Attendees with health conditions should consult their doctor before attending and carry any necessary medicines with a prescription.
